About Martin

Dr. Martin Weiss is physician and Assistant Professor for Molecular Gynecology at the University women’s hospital and the NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, Germany. Dr. Weiss graduated in 2015 from Greifswald University and completed his dissertation on “Controlling docetaxel chemoresistance by protein phosphorylation of the heat shock protein 27 in prostate cancer cells” with full marks. As fellow of the PATE (Tübingen Partnership for Research) and Clinician Scientist program fellowship he spent 2,5 years in the laboratories of Prof. K. Schenke-Layland and Prof. P. Loskill at the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology in Stuttgart. In 2018 he has been elected as Executive Board Member of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (DGGG). His group focuses on the development of non-invasive treatment and imaging procedures with applications in operative gynecology and gynecooncology as well as on the development of enabling technologies that support the routinely clinical use of these systems.
